Vertex, Inc. is pleased to announce the newest addition to our Quality/Management Team:

Mr. Kevin Dierkes has joined our company in the position of Value Stream Coordinator and ISO Representative.  Kevin is now moving into his new position after completing an orientation program during the past 8 weeks.

A veteran of the U.S. Army as an MP from 79-82, Kevin began his rubber career in 1982 in Eastern Ohio.  Promotions and job assignments moved him back and forth between South Carolina and Ohio during the next 26 years of his employment with Lexington Precision Corporation.  Working as a shift supervisor, then moving into the engineering department as a Process Engineer, his responsibilities included process development, prototype coordination and tooling design.  He moved into materials testing and evaluation which helped hone his skills in Supervision and Process Engineering.   During his tenure he became involved in the implementation and accreditation process of ISO Certification for Lexington.

Kevin received his rubber industry training at The University of Milwaukee and The University of Akron.  Kevin and his wife Wanda find some spare time to be volunteers and advisors with the local 4-H and their regional County Fair Board.

We are pleased that Kevin has become a part of the Vertex Family and is now sharing his experience and expertise on behalf of our customers and associates.

Vertex, Inc. RECEIVES
ISO 9001:2008(WITH DESIGN) CERTIFICATION

Mogadore, OH August, 2009 - Vertex, Inc.'s design, production and distribution operations have been certified to the ISO 9001:2008 (w/design), International Quality System Standard.  The certification became effective on August 9, 2009.

The company's entire quality system was audited and certified by Smithers Quality Assessments Inc. (SQA), a leading independent accredited registrar, and found to be in compliance with this newest ISO standard.  Vertex was previously certified to ISO 9001:2000 (w/design).

Vertex, Inc. specializes in the design and manufacture of elastomeric seals for customers in the construction industry and other related industries.  Customers are currently serviced in North, Central and South America.  Vertex conducts business out of two facilities in Mogadore, Ohio, a suburb of Akron.

Smithers is fully accredited both by the Dutch Council for Accreditation (RvA) and the American National Accreditation Body (ANAB) and is a member of the Independent Association of Accredited Registrars.
